Course:
Laboratorio di Comunicazione Visuale e Cinetica - clasVEM - I.U.A.V. Elevator pitch:
The objective of the course was to design an application for a mobile device which would help “nomad” workers in Venice. We took the tourist guide as our target audience, with the fundamental idea of designing a playful interaction between the guide and his group of tourists.
During their visit the tourists have a “responsibility”to look after a digital sheep—a Tamagochi to accompany the discovery of the city. Concept:
Starting from the metaphor of the shepherd and his flock our initial idea was to link the role of the guide to the shepherd and that of the tourist to the sheep. Later, to avoid any offensive connotations of the tourists as stupid sheep, we developed the same metaphor but gave the tourists responsibility for the sheep. |
